Police seek information after man hit by vehicle while riding bike

HENRICO, Va. (WWBT) – Henrico Police are asking for information about a strike-and-run that occurred in Henrico previous week.

On June 19 just prior to 4 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of Quater Mill Highway and Copper Creek Lane for the report of a car vs. bicyclist crash.

When officers arrived, they spoke with a guy who advised them he was touring westbound on Quater Mill Street when the driver of a motor vehicle touring east turned north onto Copper Creek Lane in entrance of him.

This induced the bicyclist to crash into the ear of the auto, and throw him off the bicycle and into the intersection.

Police stated the automobile remaining the spot towards Mayland Drive, and explain it as a feasible 2010 maroon sedan with a dirty physical appearance. The motor vehicle is lacking a piece of the proper rear brake mild.

The victim was taken to the healthcare facility with non-daily life-threatening injuries.
