West Philadelphia Hit-and-Run: $5,000 reward offered for info in crash that injured woman, 2 children

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — A $5,000 reward is remaining available for info on a hit-and-operate crash that injured a female and two younger young children in West Philadelphia.

It took place on July 18 just prior to 10 p.m. close to the intersection of 50th Avenue and Haverford Avenue

In accordance to police, 29-yr-previous Zarina Grisby was at a neighborhood corner shop with her 3-yr-old son, two nieces and a mate. They ended up crossing the avenue when the crash occurred.

Grisby and her two nieces, ages 13 and 3, were hit by the car.

Philadelphia law enforcement are hunting for this auto in connection with a crash that injured three individuals on July 18, 2022.

Grisby endured a severe personal injury to her leg. The youthful ladies endured slight injuries, according to law enforcement.

“Her leg was midway off. She was bleeding to dying. I guess she pushed her son out the way to save him and she received strike, but she couldn’t prevent her nieces acquiring hit,” explained the victim’s sister, Yahyah Gary.

Family members say Grisby underwent successful surgery Tuesday, and it appears her leg will not have to be amputated.

She continues to be in vital situation, law enforcement reported Thursday.

Police explained they’re searching for a dark-colored auto, quite possibly a Nissan, that was last viewed traveling on Haverford Avenue. Close by surveillance online video captured the desired motor vehicle.
